Unfortunately for all of us watching at home, Chevy didn’t have any commercials in this year’s Superbowl. Why not? Well, it’s a convoluted issue. Let us here at McCluskey Chevrolet, your home for Auto Parts in Cincinnati give you the short answer and then show you something to lift those spirits!
The decision not to advertise during the Superbowl is a remnant of the Joel Ewanick era. You may remember Joel as the old CEO who got the boot. Chevy still hasn’t found a full-time replacement, but most in the company seem to agree that one of the first moves of the new permanent CEO will be to reinstate the big-money Superbowl ads. We here at your home for Oil Change Cincinnati think that this can’t happen soon enough. We mean, when else can you get seen by so many people all at the same time?
To ease the pain of having no Chevy ad this year, we’d like to share the ad from 2012 with you. It shows a man with his Chevy Silverado, pitted against the supposed doomsday of the Mayans!
