Car dealers might soon be getting an interesting addition to their fleet of inventory. Chevrolet has announced that at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas this year, it will be revealing the SEMA Chevy Spark EV. The car packs 400 pound feet of torque, which is just like the original Spark EV, will be able to get revved up without nearly a sound, and will be emissions free. The Tech Performance is a concept that utilizes instant torque, and will take its passengers from zero to sixty milers per hour in only seven and a half seconds. The SEMA Spark EV has also been equipped with stronger axles, and is packed with lightweight features for enhanced performance, that have not yet been revealed.
To add to the awesomeness of the car, it will be equipped with a backlit bowtie emblem on the grille of the vehicle, have green stitching on the steering wheel, and features a “flip-up” activation switch to add a bit of fun high-performance touch of style to the already cool car. The outside of the SEMA Spark EV is just as decked out as the interior. It comes with a ground effects package, that was created by 3dCarbon. Chevy made a design change to the front fascia and chin spoiler, added an upgraded sound system, and for an extra special touch, the compact car will feature ambient lighting.
This green(er) version of the car has no release date scheduled, but will definitely make an appearance at the SEMA show, so make sure to look for it!
While we all try to do our best to be the change in the world, nearly every driving American has gotten a citation of some sort while behind the wheel. While speeding is the most common of these, running stop signs, red lights, and illegal passing are some other popular choices. The responsibility of driving is a great one, and it is important that as drivers, we pay attention to where we are and what we are doing at all times. All too often, however, the screaming kids in the backseat, an incoming call, or a song on the radio distract us. We forget for a second what we are doing, and oftentimes, pay the price for our diverted attention. Police in Lake Elsinore, California, set out to test driver’s attention spans, by using an obvious decoy – and you wouldn’t believe what happened. [click to continue…]

Ceremonies can range from small justice-of-the-peace vows, or large parties with countless guests and jubilation. Some couples spend a few nights in a local hotel, while others go across the world to celebrate the start of their marriage. Every person has a list of dream items that they wish to one day own. For some, it may be a house on the beach, for others it may be a more modest desire to own a motorcycle. Whatever the dream, whether small or big, comes with a certain amount of probability, or the likelihood of that dream actually coming true. Car dealers in Cincinnati and all over the United States are playing a part in making the dream of owned the new Corvette C7 a reality. For one woman was taken aback when her boyfriend showed up at her work with her brand new black 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.
Pattie was completely speechless and shocked when her boyfriend interrupted her work day with a very special (and rare) surprise. In the video which you can view below, Pattie claims she is not up to speed on how to drive and handle the Corvette’s seven-speed manual transmission, but took the car for a spin anyway. While we suspect that Pattie was aware that the car had been purchased, she was not at all knowledgeable as to when the car would be delivered. When coming up with a way to brighten your girlfriend’s day, or looking for a way to fight away the Monday blues, we can’t think of a better way than walking out of the office to the sight of your very own (and very new) 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.
Pattie claims that her boyfriend is more excited about the vehicle than she was, and who can blame him? You can check out Pattie’s surprise delivery of her C7 in the video below.
When it comes to cars, some of us can’t help but want the biggest and baddest the industry has to offer. From sporty race cars, to luxury SUVs, driving cars that pack high performance and great looks, are what makes us happy. Car dealers can’t help but encourage buyers to take a spin in the newest Chevrolet Corvette – because seeing it sitting in the showroom and taking it out for a spin are two very different things. The Chevrolet Camaro SS is a sports car that has been a fun to drive, high profile vehicle since it first made it’s appearance. One company in San Antonio, Texas, has made this car from awesome to incredible with a few fun tweaks. [click to continue…]
There is an entire industry that thrives and relies on the stupidity of the common criminal. Television shows and books are both created each year, highlighting the year’s dumbest and most absurd criminal minds in the business. While laughing at the fact that karma has caught up to these individuals, their crimes still end up emotionally or physically hurting the innocent every now and again. A change in the crime rate would be an improvement in any city or situation, but being able to read about and capitalize on these mistakes, make the world of petty crimes just a little bit sunnier than it would otherwise be. Certain television shows are so well written, and are so incredibly acted, that they go down in history as one of the greats. These classics don’t come around often, but when they do, you can almost bet that they will have a major following, even after the show is off the air. One such show that has gained notoriety and will live forever in the hearts and minds of fans, is The Sopranos. Whether you are a doctor, teacher, car dealer, or engineer – this iconic show was relate-able to nearly everyone who watched it. So, it should come as no surprise that one of the non-living characters in the show is back in the news.
The 1999 Chevrolet Suburban that was used in the show for the first four seasons is set to be auctioned off in Las Vegas September 28. The Suburban was actually driven by the show’s main character, Tony Soprano, played by the late James Gandolfini. The actor passed away earlier this year, and had signed the visor when filming wrapped on season four of the show. “Take car of my car,” is the inscription Gandolfini left, and it’s a safe bet that whoever ends up making the highest bid at the No Reserve Auction, taking place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, will do just that.
The winner of the auction will also get to take home several props used in the television show, that is regarded as one of the greatest TV series of all time. Steve Davis is the president of the auction company, and said that, “The 1999 Chevrolet Suburban is not only a standout vehicle in this year’s diverse docket, but is also considered to be an American pop culture monument. We foresee that this unique offering is sure to bring excitement to bidders and car enthusiasts on every level.”
