The Holiday season is upon us. Halloween is today, and soon Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve will have come and gone. While holidays mean many different things to a lot of people, one thing seems to be constant whether you are from San Diego, Cincinnati, or Boston. That constant is travel. Holiday’s always seem to have us on the move, whether it’s traveling across the country to visit relatives, or heading out of the country to escape the cold and enjoy a peaceful holiday season, holiday travel is when the industry is at an all time high. Just ask any airline or individual who has flown for the holidays. Packed terminals, long security lines, and overbooked flights are all too common this time of year, and relaxing seems nearly impossible. Southwest Airlines is trying to do something about the lack of relaxation going around, and has just introduced a program with Apple and Dish Network to hopefully restore a little bit of peace during this hectic traveling season. While we all try to do our best to be the change in the world, nearly every driving American has gotten a citation of some sort while behind the wheel. While speeding is the most common of these, running stop signs, red lights, and illegal passing are some other popular choices. The responsibility of driving is a great one, and it is important that as drivers, we pay attention to where we are and what we are doing at all times. All too often, however, the screaming kids in the backseat, an incoming call, or a song on the radio distract us. We forget for a second what we are doing, and oftentimes, pay the price for our diverted attention. Police in Lake Elsinore, California, set out to test driver’s attention spans, by using an obvious decoy – and you wouldn’t believe what happened. [click to continue…]

Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, it is important that the vehicle you buy meets and exceeds standards in all different categories. From safety, to durability, and even to comfort – choosing a vehicle is usually a long-term commitment. Making sure that the car, truck, or SUV you buy goes the distance, and will be just as committed to you as you are to it, is imperative. While general auto repair is unavoidable, doing your research before purchasing a vehicle can sometimes mean the difference between the cost of routine maintenance, and an expensive repair. It’s a good thing that Chevrolet has you covered – because if you are buying anew car or truck at a local Chevy dealership, you can rest easy knowing it had to pass a gauntlet of tests before you drive it off the lot. Men and women alike tend to “catch-and-release” HUGE record-breaking fish nearly everyday. Unfortunately for them, with the advancement in cell phone technology and access to internet nearly everywhere around the world – it has gotten harder and harder to make up tall tales regarding what they reeled in for the day. Some stories that we hear on the news, sounds remarkably similar to a headline on the National Enquirer. The “magazine” publication sells cheap and usually completely false “news” to those who are interested and gullible enough to read and believe it. One story out of California, had us questioning if it was indeed another one of those cheesy tabloid headlines. Oddly enough, the story is completely true, and we have the scoop! While it is not a mandatory part of the beginning of a new marriage, taking a honeymoon is a tradition that many newlyweds embark on. Some couples spend a few nights in a local hotel, while others go across the world to celebrate the start of their marriage. In Europe, going from one country to the next can be as easy as it is for us in the United States to drive from Cincinnati to Chicago.
